2010 is shaping up to be a busy, adventurous year! In the spring, the Into the Wild filming crew will head to South Africa to search for the rare white lions and other wildlife like cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, and zebra! While we’re in Africa you can tune into Into the Wild and see shows from our most recent shoot to Malaysia and Singapore. You’ll fall in love with the baby orangutans and much more!

Columbus Zoo broke all previous attendance records in 2009—I’m thrilled that our guests are loving and frequenting the Zoo as much as I do! 2010 is definitely going to be another great year with the opening of Polar Frontier. This state-of-the-art facility will be home for polar bears, our brown bears, and several other species! If all goes as planned, you will be able to explore this region of the Zoo when the flowers are blooming in the spring!

Make sure you always remember that you can make a difference—support your local zoo or animal shelter, or volunteer with an animal or environmental organization.
